who is the active club?
The Grants Pass Active Club is a non-profit organization that contributes to the youth of Southern Oregon. Since 1959, The Grants Pass Active Club has held Boatnik every Memorial Day weekend along the Rogue River in Grants Pass, Oregon. Boatnik is one of two fundraisers for this group of volunteers and takes all year to plan.
All funds raised by the Grants Pass Active Club from Boatnik are returned to the community by supporting local children and youth programs in Josephine County. The club has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars over the past 50 years. The members quietly support their community by bringing Oregon's second largest festival to the shores of Riverside Park and the Rogue River.

We walk among you. You've more than likely interacted with a Club member in the Grants Pass community. We are teachers, business owners, attorneys, salesmen, an Army General, a judge, an officer, a mailman, a senator, a coach, and a proud citizen of Grants Pass. We spend hundreds of hours each year volunteering our time to plan Boatnik and our Christmas for Kids programs to raise money for youth programs in the community.

We fund sports and academics for uniform requests, travel expenses, and other expenses to help their programs. The Active Club donated $16,000 to the Grants Pass High School Marching Band to help them travel to New York to perform in the Thanksgiving Macy's Parade.
