RULES

The following rules were adopted by the Active Club to assure a safe, beautiful parade. Please abide by them.

1. All mobile units must be floats. Exceptions will be made for antique or classic cars and emergency vehicles. All others should have streamers, crepe paper or other decoration appropriate for a parade.

2. There is absolutely No throwing anything (including candy) to the spectators of the parade. This creates a large safety issue, as children do not look before running into the streets. If you are throwing things, you will be asked to leave. Walking along the crowd and handing out candy is permissible.

Children run into the street scrambling for candy, etc. and this could become extremely dangerous. You may distribute advertising items, candy, balloons, etc. to the crowds on the sidewalk.

3. Please keep children at a safe distance from wheels of cars and trailers.

4. All animals must be on a leash or otherwise restrained.

5. Pooper Scoopers are required for all animal entries.

6. There is a limit of 2 emergency vehicles per organization.

7. Maximum entry length is 75 feet.

8. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone.

9 . NO CARS/TRUCKS PEELING OUT OR BURNING RUBBER ALLOWED IT STILL IS A CITY STREET AND TRAFFIC/SAFETY LAWS WILL BE ENFORCED.

We welcome and encourage any and all who would want to enter the parade. Please enter under one of the above categories. All entries will be judged on the basis of ORIGINALITY, ANNUAL THEME, PRESENTATION in each category.
